As a world class haircutting artist for over 35 years, Tony Dorso has been a regular on the salon industry trade show circuit, teaching stylists all over the country innovative techniques and technical skills and in the process earning himself a reputation as a most sought after stage and seminar educator.                                                                                                                   

      Tony’s experience spans the breadth of our industry as haircutting expert, education consultant, and as a former member of several prominent national artistic teams including TIGI Art Team through Toni & Guy International, the Italy Hair Fashion USA Show Team, as a National Artist for IDEN International, and as the National Technical Director for Elan Marketing And Consulting. 

      He is currently the Senior Education Coordinator for the World Wide Beauty Exchange based out of Boston, as well as a free lance artist and brand ambassador for several top selling salon indsutry tool brands and professional product lines, including Tsubami Shears, Croc Tools, and Alter Ego Italy.

     

     His stage credits include over 20 appearances at all of the major national trade shows, including IBS New York, ISSE Long Beach, and the Chicago / America's Show.

     Tony's session work has graced the pages of magazines such as Nylon, FHM , Japanese Vogue, and New York Style.  He is a former senior staff member of several prominent New York City salons including Toni & Guy Madison Avenue,  Revolver Salon / Chelsea, and the Anderson-French Salon on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

     He has worked with several top New York City modeling agencies doing portfolio development for new talent including I.D. Models, The Guess Agency, Click NYC, and V-Model Management……With an extensive repertoire of training over the years from industry icons such as Toni & Guy, and Vidal Sassoon, Tony brings to his clients in the salon an amalgam of techniques and technical skills, and an unparalleled knowledge of the latest dry cutting techniques.

     As a writer and author, his articles have appeared in national trade periodicals such as The Creative Stylist as well as main stream fashion magazines such as New York Vue.  He has also been brought in to create and write the technical product useage manuals for national salon chains and several prominent professional product lines, and, is a recognized authority in the area of formulation and product efficiency.
